Power BI Apps and Business Central: Two Webinars with fellow MVPs and a Microsoft Guru
One of the most important reporting tools for me is Power BI. I use and rely on it every day to surface information that provides my team and our end users access to relevant data in their Business Central environment. Over the previous year or so, Microsoft has released free Power BI Apps for us to use. In the current time, those reports are being updated and also made open-source, which means we can take their report, save a copy, and then make changes. Truly revolutionary for a reporting guy like me.
The data sources, date table, and model are already ready already in these Power BI apps. Just plug and play.
Over the last few months, I had the very distinct honor of joining Marcel Chabot and Savannah Dill on her Not-a-Pickle blog and we recorded two important video sessions for anyone interested in learning about the capabilities, requirements, and real-life experiences we’ve had as MVPs deploying, using, and training on these Power BI App reports for Business Central.
Level Up Business Central with Open Source Power BI Apps (v26.2)
In the first episode, we dig into the v26.2 changes and updates to the reports, how to deploy and use them, and open source:
Business Central Power BI Apps | Microsoft Interview
In the second episode, we added Kennie! The one and only Kennie Pontoppidan from Microsoft, who was instrumental in bringing all of these reports to Business Central, joined us for a discussion to bring history, key clarifications, and describe the future path for the Power BI analytics reporting in BC.
I had a great time discussing and learning about Power BI and Business Central on these sessions, and I hope will too!
